A safety plan is a set of actions, strategies, and resources to help support safety in your relationships. The purpose of a safety plan is to help you make your own choices for safety, during and after an unhealthy or abusive relationship. If you make a safety plan with a Green Flags Pro.
You care about your friend, and you want them to be happy. You might think that telling them to break up or leave will help them to be safe. But a breakup can be the most dangerous time in a relationship.
Instead of “You need to break up with them,” try saying “What would help you to be safe?”
Let them know about making a green flag safety plan.
